I know that all you guys followed me for cartoon fanarts… but I can’t stop thinking about Life is Strange so here’s a compilation of art I did in these last weeks.
Most of them are True Color related because it’s my favorite game so far!
I laugh at people who say something like "Max is not a personality, but a projection of the player so that he associates her with himself, but /the name of another protagonist/ is already a personality"
I wonder how an ordinary person can associate himself with a girl who is rude to his potential killer, scratches the cheek of an armed jerk and without much thought spoils things to another person (Frank and Victoria as an example) ?
Does everyone want to become a photographer and is obsessed with their goal? Will everyone climb to the roof to save their classmate from suicide? Everyone will face a choice between a town or a loved one? Will everyone rewind time over and over again to save EVERYONE?
The girl is literally obsessed with her hobby, she almost lives by it. There are a lot of references to different photographers in her speech, she photographs almost every location and person herself, I very much doubt that anyone else does this. And she has had it since childhood.
And the 5 episode? Her nightmare? It seems that here the game is already just screaming that "MAX IS A SEPARATE PERSONALITY FROM THE PLAYER". We are shown Max's inner conflict, her insecurities, anxiety and guilt for HER actions, not the player.
I can say with full confidence that Max is one of the most underrated characters in the franchise, whom the community, without even understanding, calls a "boring" character and "just a projection of the player", which is fundamentally wrong. I really hope that the community will come to its senses and begin to delve into the characters somehow.

I was listening to a song that reminded me of max and chloe in a bittersweet way and this came up. ;_; (This is my interpretation of what the final bay over bae conveys to me)
